KUNR is a non-commercial, listener-supported public radio station providing northern Nevada and northeastern California with a stimulating and diverse mix of music, news, public affairs and cultural programming.
An outreach service of the University of Nevada, Reno, KUNR is licensed to the Board of Regents. The station began broadcasting in October 1963.

The Nevada Sagebrush is the independent newspaper of the student body of the University of Nevada, Reno. It has been in continuous publication since 1893.
The Nevada Sagebrush is published every Tuesday during the academic year by the Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN).

The University of Nevada Press is a publisher of scholarly books, serious fiction and nonfiction. Established by the Board of Regents in 1961, the press, which has offices in both Reno and Las Vegas, is a public service division of the Nevada System of Higher Education. Itcontributes to the state and international scholarly community by publishing books on history, government, natural resources, women’s studies, Native American studies, ethnic groups and contemporary affairs, especially as these topics pertain to Nevada and the Great Basin.
The Reno office of the University of Nevada Press, located in the basement of Morrill Hall Alumni Center, is open during regular business hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday). For more information, call (775) 784-6573.
Black Rock Press www.blackrockpress.org
Founded by Kenneth J. Carpenter over 30 years ago, the Black Rock Press is dedicated to the practice and teaching of the arts and crafts associated with the creation of finely printed books.
The press now has a national reputation for its outstanding work and has become a living museum of traditional printing technology, housing a variety of cabinets Filled with metal type, and a number of historically significant printing presses. Its centerpiece, a gilded 1837 super-royal Columbian iron handpress, is one of the finest examples of a nineteenth century iron handpress to be found anywhere in the country.
